Lauren Grgurina 2023-2024

Lauren, a senior at California High School in San Ramon, has held a passion for community service from a young age. During her middle school years, she gravitated towards the leadership program and found fulfillment in engaging with various community service projects as a part of her educational journey.

 

Among Lauren's most memorable experiences were those involving collaborative efforts with sister schools, particularly the holiday toy drive. This initiative involved the collection and delivery of toys to a school located in Pittsburg, CA. The children she met had seldom, if ever, received new toys in their lifetimes. Witnessing the sheer joy in their eyes when they received these gifts left a profound imprint on her heart. These moments made her aware of the inequalities within our community and fueled her desire to make a more significant impact.

 

Today, Lauren is excited to be a partner in Court2Court, a program that integrates her two passions: basketball and community service.
